Snowball Studios is looking for an experienced and talented 2D Animator/ VFX Artist to join its upcoming production! As 2D Animator/ VFX Artist will be responsible for creating and conceptualizing hand-animate 2D FX sequences which meet the aesthetic, creative, and technical quality standards of the production.
Duties and Responsibilities
Become familiar with the tools, techniques and pipeline within the studio.
Design, maintain and adhere to a consistent FX style as required by the Production.
Create required effects which contribute to the scene.
Reuse and reanimate FX stock to best match the FX needs.
Manage and maintain FX stock material in a library used by FX team.
Qualifications
Proven experience in 2D Animation and VFX Production.
Degree level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of 2D animation principles
Strong working knowledge of Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, Photoshop, Harmony and other software related to 2D Animation and FX required.
A strong creative portfolio and showreel.
A strong, measurable track record in delivering against project goals.
Deadline driven.
Good communicator.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada as specified and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the role.
